There will be both a practical and theoretical approach in the physics sessions You will learn a combination of thermal and nuclear physics There will also be engineering and electronics incorporated

Assessment will consist of a mixture of practical and external written examinations Written examinations will be a mixture of multiple choice, short answer quations and extended essay questions

This qualification can lead you to study at Higher Education or employment/Apprenticeship in a career in the scientific industry

If you’re under 19, you will be placed on a Study Programme designed just for you – to take you where you want to go We will support you while you study towards a main qualification, help you improve your maths and English and our ACTIVE LINKS service can help you find work experience

If you’re aged 16-18 when you start your programme and you are taking a course leading to a qualification, the tuition and exam fees are free However, there may be additional costs for personal kit/uniform, books and trips dependent upon what you are studying
