Who is this course for?

What are the entry requirements?
You will need at least 5 GCSE grades A*-C (including grade B or above in Physics). In addition, as part of the interview process, you may be required to sit subject specific, English and maths assessments.
After applying you will have an interview to determine which course is suitable for your needs and abilities.
  • Minimum Literacy Level: Entry 2

  • You can read and understand short pieces of writing such as letters, messages, simple stories, timetables and adverts. You can write short pieces of writing - for example an email to a friend, a simple letter, a story or a message.
  • Minimum Numeracy Level: Entry 2

  • You can work with numbers, symbols, and simple diagrams. You can add and subtract simple numbers and use simple fractions. You can use money, tell the time, measure things and know about squares, triangles and rectangles.

GCE AS Level in Physics.

Where can it lead?
This course can lead to progression in studying Physics at A2 Level. It may also count towards your UCAS points.

What will I study?
You will be encouraged to:

· develop your interest in, and enthusiasm for physics, including developing an interest in further study and careers in physics;

· appreciate how society makes decisions about scientific issues and how the sciences contribute to the success of the economy and society;
