Course programme

Plain English

This coaching is for anyone in the organisation whose job involves written output - letters, reports, pitches, brochure copy, newsletters, and internal communications. We look at:

  • Understanding the reader
  • Structure, content and planning
  • Grammar and sentence construction
  • Jargon and vocabulary
  • Layout and presentation

These skills can be developed in coaching or workshop sessions. With coaching, the individual's written work is first assessed. Then, areas for development are identified and relevant skills are transferred in a private session. Marked improvements can be achieved in as little as two hours.

Alternatively, a half-day workshop session is popular. This can accommodate up to six delegates.

A full-day workshop combines the two - a group lesson and then private coaching.
