This course can be utlised to give individuals the basic skills required to carry out plastering tasks.

Three hours a week for 4 weeks.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is via continuous practical assessment.

What does the course lead to?

Progression onto a more advanced plastering skills qualification.

What will I study?

Health and safety awareness
Tool skills
Fixing plasterboard to timber studding, mixing plaster and finish with thistle multi-finish
Cut out plaster-patch, apply a chemical key and re-skim with thistle multi-finish.

What else can I do?

This course can be done as a stand-along course or can be followed on by the improvers plastering course, learners would then have the option of progression onto a more advanced plastering programme.

What can I go on to study?

Plastering diploma level 1 course.
