PRESENTATION
In this workshop, we will flow through simple but challenging sequences, exploring the affect of music on the feeling of the pose. We will use different and unexpected genres, including jazz, classical, electronic, pop and old classics.
Part 1 will explore forward bends and twists, Part 2 will explore heart opening backbends (gentle to full on, whatever you feel like on the day). Options will be given to serve all levels of experience, including beginners.
Kate has been studying yoga for the past 10 years, having come to yoga through a double degree in drama and eastern philosophy at Vassar college in New York. She focuses on the synchronisation of breath and movement to find an inner sense of peace, emphasising a non-competitive, non-dogmatic approach. Her classes are dynamic, strong, flowing and meditative, with a sense of humour and fun. She was originally qualified through tripsichore yoga theatre, and has since completed Max Strom's advanced teacher training in Venice, California. She borrows from many styles to create a strong flowing vinyasa practice. All students are encouraged to honour their level, with patience and humility. Kate believes strongly that yoga helps to free your heart and quiet your mind.
