Course Aims:
The Certificate in Plumbing is suitable for school leavers who wish to work in the plumbing industry. Alternatively, the course is also suitable for adult students who wish to retrain and pursue a career in the plumbing industry.
Course Content:
You will study the following modules: - Safety Effective Working Relationships, Key Plumbing Principles, Common Plumbing Processes, Central Heating Systems, Cold Water Systems, Hot Water Systems, Sanitation Systems, Sheet Lead Weathering, Principles of Electrical Supply, Environmental Awareness.
If you are under 19 when you join this programme and are studying on a full-time basis, you will need to put together an Individual Learning Plan as part of Curriculum 2000. Please enquire at Student Services or with your tutor for further details.
Progression:
The certificate leads towards Level 3 in Plumbing. Further study will allow you to develop the necessary academic requirements for Higher Education and managerial qualifications.
