Who is this course for?
For those persons working in the Plumbing industry who already have an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Plumbing.

What are the entry requirements?
You must be working in the Plumbing industry and already posses an NVQ Level 2 and a Technical Certificate Level 2 in Basic Plumbing. You will be assessed on your English and Maths skills at interview.
After applying you will have an interview to determine which course is suitable for your needs and abilities.

• Minimum Literacy Level: Entry 2

You can read and understand short pieces of writing such as letters, messages, simple stories, timetables and adverts. You can write short pieces of writing - for example an email to a friend, a simple letter, a story or a message.
• Minimum Numeracy Level: Entry 2

You can work with numbers, symbols, and simple diagrams. You can add and subtract simple numbers and use simple fractions. You can use money, tell the time, measure things and know about squares, triangles and rectangles.

City & Guilds 6089 NVQ Level 3 Plumbing.

Where can it lead?
Level 4 Mechanical Services Plumbing.

What will I study?
You will study Sanitation, hot and cold water supply, hot water heating, electrical controls, domestic gas safety and appliances.

How will I be taught?
Formal Lessons, Assignments, Practice, Demonstration.

How will I be assessed?
Competence and Portfolio of Evidence, including Work Based Observation.
