Course Content

Within a friendly relaxed no-pressure atmosphere this Pottery/Ceramics course combines learning the Traditional Hand building techniques of pinch, slab and coil, which includes modelling/sculpting, with pot decoration. By the end of this course you should be able to:

• Develop a creative and personal approach to working with clay.
• You can expect to gain good knowledge and experience of hand-built construction techniques.
• Develop knowledge of decorative techniques. For example: how to use slips, oxides and other colourant with glaze to achieve and create a variety of effects, surface treatments and finishes.
