ASSESSMENTS
Driving assessments check on a drivers ability against LGV Test Standards. These are held either during the week or on Saturday mornings and must be booked at least 24 hours prior to the assessment. Assessments where possible include road work, as well as general manoeuvring exercises such as reversing on our on-site manoeuvring area. However due to our extensive off road facilities, off road assessments are available to enable prospective clients to gauge their ability and the costs involved before obtaining their provisional licence.

PRACTICAL TRAINING
Practical training is carried out to an approved programme, which covers all the aspects of the LGV Practical Test.

Our daily training session is four hours single crew, or eight hours double crew. Sessions are usually arranged to take place between 8.00am and 12.00pm or 12.30pm and 4.30pm Monday to Friday, single crewing and 8.00am till 4.00pm, double crewing or in the case of a double session. However, sessions can be held during the evenings and on Saturdays if necessary.

PRACTICAL DRIVING TESTS
These tests are arranged by the Centre on the clients behalf to follow as soon after the last day of the course as possible. The tests are carried out by the Driving Standards Agency and take place between 8.30am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday.

Components of the test include road work plus a reversing, braking and gear change exercise together with a practical exercise for Category C+E drivers on Coupling and Uncoupling
