Course programme

What you need to know
How will I study?

This is largely a practical course and you will gain a variety of new skills including growing and looking after plants, lawn maintenance, strimming, basic brick laying and putting up and maintaining fences. There will also be lessons in maths and English to give you every opportunity to progress onto the next level or into employment.
How will I be taught?

A mix of practical training in the grounds, greenhouses and workshop and some teaching in the classroom. We will use the college grounds and estate, but also use computer rooms when needed.
How will I be assessed?

Most units have a combination of practical tasks and tests of your knowledge. You will be trained, have practice assessments and given every chance to pass each unit during the year.
