Programme outline

1. Reading: Understood as the slow and careful reading (silent or aloud) of a text of scripture or a reading from the tradition of the Church.

2. Meditation: A more profound reflection on one or two aspects of the text.

3. Prayer: The response of the heart to the word of God that has been heard.

4. Contemplation: Allowing God to lead us through the imaginative use of our senses.
