The Specialist Ultrasound Practice PG Cert will appeal to a wide range of healthcare professionals who wish to develop focused ultrasound skills as an extension of their clinical practice. This course offers a personalised combination of work-based learning and lectures that cover the underlying theoretical concepts of ultrasound scanning including gynaecology and early pregnancy ultrasound and carotid artery ultrasound.

You will undertake work-based learning of an individually negotiated specialist area of ultrasound practice.
Located in the heart of London, across three of King’s Thames-side campuses (Waterloo, St Thomas’ and Guy’s).
Flexible part-time study pathway with the opportunity to extend modules studied and gain either a PG Diploma or MSc in Medical Ultrasound.
This course has been taken by healthcare graduates in various fields, e.g. stroke, early pregnancy and emergency medicine, to develop the use of ultrasound in their professional roles.
Bachelor’s degree with 2:2 honours or a professional qualification in Radiography, Nursing, Midwifery or Medicine. Applicants must have a suitable clinical training placement for the duration of the programme.
