Pregnancy is an exciting time in a woman’s life. In this professional one-day training course learn how as a massage therapist you can support a woman through the variety of transitions she experiences. Safety in giving the treatment, along with appropriate adaptations, suitable an review of anatomy and physiology are all covered in the session.

About this course

Perform a deeply restorative routine on the pregnant client, safely with due consideration
Demonstrate safe and effective sequence of therapeutic techniques and stretches in prone, supine and side position
Review anatomy & physiology of the body
Identify the natural physiological changes of pregnancy and contraindications
Demonstrate improved client care when working with pregnant clients.

Two large towels and massage oil. Please wear loose comfortable clothing and suitable shoes.

Palpatory skills and the particular considerations for the therapist in the abdominal area.
A one-hour routine for the client including the abdomen

Any of our CPD or bodywork related courses: Mindful practitioner, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Deep Tissue Massage, Advanced Massage using sports massage techniques, Native American Back Massage, Lomi Lomi or Lymphatic Drainage massage. Or chose from a wide range of modalities offered on our website.
