Building your on screen confidence and learning the skills needed to present to camera in a business/corporate style. This is a practical course set in the City Lit’s TV studio equipped with up to date professional broadcast industry equipment. The tutor, a BBC trained TV director with over 25 years of experience directing mainstream programmes for BBC and ITV, has extensive experience training people to present to camera for business.

No extra costs. Bring notepad and pen. The studio is solid state (tapeless), your recordings can be given to you during the course if you bring 10 - 15 GB usb or Mac compatible hard drive.

Course programme
Overcoming nerves, presenting to camera, reading autocue, writing and memorising short scripts, being interviewed.
In-class practical exercises will be recorded on camera and played back with helpful constructive comments. There may be some weekly prep such as viewing and preparing scripts. Reading So You Want to be a TV Presenter published by Nick Hern Books, and The TV Presenter’s Career Handbook published by Focal Press will be very useful, both written by the tutor.Additional information
