Preventing Miscommunication, Effective Communication Skills

Course Content

During this session we cover the principles of communication and miscommunication. We look at how we communicate with ourselves and with those around us and what impact that has on the end result.

We look at understanding the world through the eyes of others and get a feel for our own and other people's beliefs, values and behaviours. We will uncover the reasons for miscommunication, how best to address it and skills for increasing the likelihood of pre-empting it. Most importantly we then look at how to apply this new found knowledge to the working environment to gain better results both personally and within teams.

Outcomes

The outcomes of this Effective Communications Skills course are that:

• Participants gain an insight into their preferred communication style and an understanding of where they can improve on their strengths & develop their opportunities.
• Participants learn how to own and advance their communications and develop strategies to continuously improve their skills. This means participants have a greater confidence around knowing "what to say" and "how to say it" across all contexts.
