Course programme

Course detail Description

The programme is divided into three components: a clinical placement, taught modules and a research project and dissertation.
The course is run by King’s Undergraduate Medical Education in the Community (KUMEC) and the School of Population Health, which involves collaboration with the Departments of Global Health, Physiotherapy and Primary Care Research.

Teaching
We use lectures, seminars and group tutorials to deliver most of the taught modules on the programme. During the clinical placement you will spend one day per week in terms 1 and 2 in a general practice setting. You will also be expected to undertake a significant amount of independent study. A guide to how your time will be spent is shown in the accompanying table.

Assessment
Assessment methods will depend on the modules selected and include essays, presentations, posters and engagement reports. A guide to this is shown in the following table and is subject to change.
