The NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Team Leading introduces you to the role of the team leader and the preparation required for leading a team. It also introduces you to the planning of developmental activities and it enables you to consider the legislation which applies to discrimination, inclusion and equality when leading a team. The workbooks provide information about, and a clear understanding of, productive working relationships within teams and they introduce you to the knowledge of motivational theory and how to motivate team members through development activities and the importance of recognising individuals and team’s achievements within these activities.

Workbook Two: • Section 1 - Understand the Performance Requirements of the Team Leader's Role • Section 2 - Understand How to Measure Progress Against Personal Objectives • Section 3 - Understand How Communicate the Team's Purpose and Objectives to Team Members • Section 4 - Understand How to Support Team Members • Section 5 - Understand How to Monitor the Team's Progress Against Agreed Objectives • Section 6 - Equality and Diversity and the Team Leader • Section 7 - Understand the Support Disabled Team Members or Colleagues Require • Section 8 - Understand the Team. Workbook Three: • Section 1 - Understand the Importance of Effective Communication • Section 2 - Understand the Importance of Effective Communication With the Team and Colleagues • Section 3 - Understand How to Present Information to a Team • Section 4 - Understand How to Give Clear Instructions • Section 5 - Understand How to Take Part in a Meeting. Workbook Four: • Section 1 - Understand Motivational Theory • Section 2 - Understand the Use of Delegation as a Motivational Tool • Section 3 - Understanding the Importance of Development Activities in Motivation • Section 4 - Understand the Importance of Individual and Team Recognition in Motivation. Our highly qualified tutors are available to support you throughout your programme of study with robust feedback, advice and guidance. You will receive your own learning pack which includes learning resources/information booklets and paper-based assessments; one for each part. You must complete all assessments in the agreed timescales and submit these for marking by our team of qualified tutors. Your tutor will then provide feedback, advice and guidance to help you successfully complete the course. Upon successful completion of two assessments, you will be awarded the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading Knowledge.
