Smart packaging that prevents product fermentation processes or warns about the deteriorating product. 3D printing when the material laid layer after layer results in a solid, one-piece object. Books, magazines and newspapers, which are still pleasant to hold rather than to read on our smart phones or computers. There were times when people used to write with a goose feather or used to type texts on a printing machine. Nowadays, it is possible to have print products created on 3D printers.
This study programme provides knowledge of design, publishing, advertising business, communication, and IT. Technologies of this field change with the speed of light, thus, the processes are being constantly updated, while innovations are being instantly implemented in the market.
Although the press is actively moving to the Internet, printed advertising, product packaging, 3D publications continue to be important products of printing engineers' work. In the course of studies students have the opportunity to observe publishing industry innovations and trends; much attention is paid to the opportunity to learn and acquire skills to work with a myriad of software used in publishing industry.
None of the area of activities, and none of the business can make without print products (templates, advertising flyers, labels, packaging, etc.). Packaging printing is especially promising. The purpose of a packaging is to protect a product, inform and promote. The product's popularity is highly dependent on its packaging - playful, unexpected, even smart one.
The specialists prepared in the course of this study programme acquire knowledge of design, are able to design and create printing machines, adjust already existing ones.
The printing process comprises four stages: pre-press (preparation of the product), printing, processing (book binding, packaging cutting, gluing), distribution. This is an ever changing, interesting process.
