This course continues to build on the wide variety of fundamental concepts and topics covered in the Pro Tools 101 and 110 courses. Basic Pro Tools familiarity alone or passing the online Pro Tools 101 exam is not intended as a substitute for the Pro Tools 101 and 110 courses.

Overview of the differences between Pro Tools workstations, preparing students for the diverse range of environments found in the industry, Pro Tools Session Management Concepts, Using DigiBase Pro, Editing Features & Techniques, Session Navigation & Control, Recording Modes/Techniques for Various Applications, In-depth Plug-in Usage, Both Technical & Practical, Pro Tools Automation Modes, Practices & Techniques, Using Sends & Aux Inputs, Introduction to Digidesign Control Surfaces.
Progression Opportunities:
Candidates who successfully complete the 200-level curriculum and online exam may be eligible to become a registered Pro Tools Operator. Certification from Digidesign as a Pro Tools Operator is valid for one year. Candidates must therefore re-take a test to renew certification on an annual basis.
Career Potential:
Certified users who can competently operate a Pro Tools TDM system in a professional environment (who have gained Pro Tools Operator certification) may proceed into employment as an assistant engineer or entry-level editor.
