The aim of this programme is to attract, retain and develop talent into a range of occupations at Advanced (Level 3) also providing the opportunity to progress onto higher levels in construction technical in order to provide the industry with a well-trained productive workforce.

Attract new people from a range of diverse backgrounds into construction technical, supervision and management to broaden the industry talent pool in England;
To provide broad-based training for a range of technical, supervision and management occupations in order to retain staff and increase productivity;
To provide a structured career path for technical, supervision and management occupations to progress to higher level jobs using further and higher education.

About this course




By the end of your apprenticeship you will have achieved:

Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Built Environment Design;
Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment;
Employee Rights and Responsibilities;
Personal Learning & Thinking Skills.


English Language GCSE Grade C or Functional Skill Level 2;
Maths GCSE Grade C or Functional Skill Level 2;
Having achieved A Levels and 5 GCSE’s at Grades A-C and/or already achieved a Construction and Built Environment Diploma would be advantageous;
Working in a role such as Construction Design Technician.

Course Assessment Method

You will complete computer based assessments throughout the year. Additionally you will be assessed by a range of methods including; Direct observation of tasks or activities, examination of work products produced by learners (e.g. diary notes, site notes, completed reports), examination of witness testimonies from people, other than the assessor, who are prepared to provide statements detailing specific details of learners’ performance, review of records of ‘question and answer’ sessions covering specific aspects of the knowledge and understanding and Professional discussion. All of these assessment methods will build your portfolio of evidence.
