PROFESSIONAL CONSTRUCTION ADVANCED APPRENTICESHIP

There will be a wide range of opportunities that apprentices can be involved with in a structured career path, such as building, civil engineering and specialist occupations. After gaining work experience in the chosen occupational area this apprenticeship will enable progression to:

• NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Construction Contracting Operations;
• NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Construction Site Management.

Or HNC/HND:

• Construction and the Built Environment;
• Civil Engineering;
• Building Services Engineering;
• Construction;
• Construction Management.

Or Foundation Degree:

• Professional Practice in Construction Operations Management;
• Construction and the Built Environment;
• Civil Engineering;
• Construction Management;
• Conservation and Restoration;
• Quantity Surveying;
• Architecture/Design;
• Architectural Technology;
• Building Surveying;
• Building Control.

Or Full Time employment.

You will complete computer based assessments throughout the year. Additionally you will be assessed by a range of methods including; Direct observation of tasks or activities, examination of work products produced by learners (e.g. diary notes, site notes, completed reports), examination of witness testimonies from people, other than the assessor, who are prepared to provide statements detailing specific details of learners’ performance, review of records of ‘question and answer’ sessions covering specific aspects of the knowledge and understanding and Professional discussion. All of these assessment methods will build your portfolio of evidence.
