The Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) professional learning network (PLN) is for specialist teachers in literacy and dyslexia. Alumni students from the SpLd (dyslexia) Master's programme are particularly welcome.
The PLN meets once a term and is made up of like-minded colleagues seeking to develop and exchange professional expertise.
Attending these sessions will help you keep up to date with the latest research in literacy difficulties, dyslexia and related subjects.
This network is run by the Centre for Inclusive Education (formerly SENJIT) at UCL's Institute of Education (IOE).

Course programme
- The PLN meets once a term. Participation in the network is for a year.
- The network is self-steering and led by member practitioners in order to ensure the direction reflects the needs and interests of the members.
- You're encouraged to bring along case studies that focus on children struggling with literacy and examples of good practice.
- A member of staff from the Centre for Inclusive Education (Liz Herbert or Emma Sumner) will also join the group to support facilitation and link with IOE researchers that members may wish to invite to speak with the group.
