By combining learning gained in the workplace with academic study, you can build on your Foundation Degree, HND or HNC (prior experiential learning - APEL - will also be assessed) to complete this innovative honours degree. With its emphasis on professional development and practice, our BSc Professional Studies supports you in reflecting on your practice in the workplace, and uses conceptual models to improve your insight into workplace activities. You will also undertake a workplace project, enhancing your expertise in the workplace through academic study and research at degree level.

Course programme

COURSE STRUCTURE

Students who have already achieved a Foundation Degree at Birkbeck will take two compulsory Level 6 modules, including a workplace project, and choose two Level 6 option modules.

Students from outside Birkbeck will be assessed on their prior academic achievements (APL) and experience (APEL) and will usually take two Level 5 compulsory modules, two Level 6 compulsory modules, including a workplace project, and choose two Level 6 option modules.
