There are four Modules in all, the first being over five (5) consecutive days, the second over two (2) consecutive days, the third over three (3) consecutive days and the fourth over two (2) days. Teaching strategies include lectures, small group work and experiential learning techniques. Students are expected to spend time on home study, participate in and report on an 8-10 week AT group (Group Training Assistantship), write up two case studies and an essay. Suitable for: 'Healthcare professionals helping people to help themselves'. Teaching AT is a rewarding experience, and the extent of the rewards can surprise the practitioner. The BAS's one-year part-time course is open to those already working in the helping professions, and leads to a Level 1 Diploma in Autogenic Training. This qualifies you to teach AT in your chosen setting as a Full Member of the British Autogenic Society. Members may then undertake a three-year part-time post-graduate course, leading to a Level 2 Diploma in Autogenic Psychotherapy.

Widen your therapeutic repertoire by learning to teach Autogenic Training (AT), the highly effective self healing technique using structured relaxation, which activates the body’s and the mind’s own self-repair mechanisms.
AT is an easily learned mind-body balancing programme - practised for a few minutes each day.
Profound changes in physical, psychological and emotional well-being can emerge, brought about by the client’s unique autogenic process.
There is an evidence base of positive results, including reduction of stress-related complaints, better pain management, reduced insomnia, anxiety and depression, support of the immune system, and increased stamina and resilience.
