It aims to improve the skills of students working below Level 2, aged 14-19, through developing high quality credit-based qualifications at Entry Level and Level 1 in Qualifications and Credit.

Introduction In 2010/11 Stratford-upon-Avon College is introducing the Foundation Learning Tier (FLT) and Progression Pathways.
The FLT is a part of the wider 14-19 and vocational qualification reform programme. It aims to improve the skills of students working below Level 2, aged 14-19, through developing high quality credit-based qualifications at Entry Level and Level 1 in Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).
Through personalised learning programmes based on Progression Pathways, the FLT reform will increase students' participation, achievement and progression.

ENTRY

CREDIT VALUE 1-12 13-36 ABOVE 36
In addition, students will study Functional Skills in English, Mathematics and ICT and undertake a personal development programme to prepare them to enter the workplace.
Entry Level courses are suitable for anyone over the age of 16 including those who have learning difficulties. The courses are typically full-time, three days a week and are first qualifications that can help individuals to obtain further training and/or a job.
