NVQ Level 2 in Providing Security Services is a flexible course offered through LearnInvicta Limited. Accredited through City & Guilds.

Prerequisites

There is no prescribed recommended prior knowledge, attainment or experience needed, however it is recommended that potential candidates are assessed on entry for numeracy, literacy, communication and sector understanding skills. The initial assessment will also consider previous qualifications and practical experience. Candidates must be employed within the industry or in a realistic working environment. Simulated activities are not appropriate unless the unit states simulation
is acceptable.

Course description

To achieve this qualification you need to complete a total of eight units. This comprises five mandatory units 001-005, one compulsory unit and two optional units. You and your assessor will undertake a skill scan to establish which areas of the standards best suit your job role. This will ensure that your choice of optional units accurately reflects your areas of competence within a security services environment.

• 007 Control entry to and exit from premises
• 010 Carry out searches of vehicle for unauthorised items

Assessment method

Assessment will be carried out by a qualified NVQ assessor which will include; observation, work products, witness testimony, candidate reports, professional discussion, questions and accreditation of prior learning if authentic and current..
