Course detail Description

Our Psychology BSc degree course draws upon the established expertise of the IoPPN, the NHS and a wide range of world-leading researchers and practitioners across King’s, from neuroscience to the social sciences, to introduce you to a variety of approaches to the application of psychological science.

Designed to reflect the key role of psychology within interdisciplinary research, the course asks you to apply insights from this research to a variety of contemporary problems. You will be required to develop your analytic, critical thinking and problem-solving skills along with your core scientific knowledge.

Students on the BSc Psychology course may have the opportunity to apply for transfer onto a four-year programme with an additional year taking the form of either a professional placement or a year of study at an overseas partner institution. This transfer cannot be arranged or guaranteed at the time of application to the course.

Psychology with a year Professional Placement

Students on the four year BSc Psychology with a year Professional Placement course will spend their third year on placement before returning to complete their final year with King’s.

If you are on the three year Psychology BSc course, you will take the finalyear modules in your third year

During your final year you are required to conduct a research project worth 45 credits.
