Overview
Our Psychology with Communication BSc (Hons) degree offers a thorough grounding in the fundamentals of psychological science through the study of human behaviour and the mind, combined with study of the workings of language and communication and the power of the media.
Our Psychology with Communication degree includes the core modules required to meet the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society and is awaiting BPS accreditation for 2019.
As expected, our Psychology with Communication degree covers both subject matters, giving you the opportunity to pursue your interest of psychology alongside communication and media studies. It’s worth noting that this course has a stronger emphasis on psychology.

Academic and Professional Skills for Psychology with Criminology
This module will introduce students to the academic and professional skills needed to study psychology and criminology at university level, and to begin to identify career pathways. The module gives students an insight in the biochemical basis of behaviour and provides an overview of the most common psychopathological disorders.

Social Psychology
Building on Part A SSA151 Foundations in Social Psychology, this module focuses on competing findings, theoretical perspectives and schools of thought in social psychology. Focusing on a series of key debates, attention will be paid to the ways in which ideas in social psychology develop, and the ways in which social psychologists construct arguments and use evidence to support one point of view over others.
