PTLLS - Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector
PTLLS is appropriate to all new entrants to teaching or for those required to achieve QTS. The course is accredited by NCFE.
You can start our PTLLS course at any time. Upon payment of your deposit you are given your online log in details and the contact details of your mentor. Your mentor will then contact you within 48 hours to introduce him/herself. You will work through a series of modules online and complete activities and virtual lessons. Your mentor will support you to complete a portfolio which includes completing 7 short theory assignments, a scheme of work, lesson plan and learning journal. You will then complete a microteach which takes approx 1 hour.
This is held nationally throught the country with various dates throughout each month. You will deliver a 15 minute teaching session and then observe your peers. This is also observed by your mentor. Following completion of the PTLLS course we help you to find work through our career services and Teachandassess.com.
