Unit 2: Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training UAN number:D/505/0052
You will need to complete a written assignment reflecting your knowledge and understanding of inclusive teaching and learning, understanding strengths and limitations of your own role, how to motivate learners, ground rules and teaching and learning resources.

You will need to complete a written assignment reflecting your knowledge around the purpose of assessment, different assessment types, how to conduct assessments, understanding the involvement of learners in assessment, reasons for constructive feedback and effective recording keeping of assessments.

On the first three days, you will receive training and be taught about various aspects such as legal responsibilities, how to motivate learners, ground rules, equality and diversity, individual needs of learners, maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment and roles as a teacher. You will demonstrate your understanding of the units through written assignments, reflecting your knowledge of what you’ve learnt.

You will also need to perform a micro-teach on the last day (the following Monday). You should prepare for the presentation on your days off - and then you will essentially be acting as a trainer. It should be a presentation (using PowerPoint, for example) about a topic relevant to your current industry area (you should have a relevant qualification for the topic you’re teaching). This teaching session will be approximately 30 minutes long.
