The 7303 is a one unit qualification comprising the following sections: Section 1: Understand own role, responsibilities and boundaries of role in relation to teaching. Section 2: Understand appropriate teaching and learning approaches in the specialist area. Section 3: Demonstrate session planning skills. Section 4: Understand how to deliver inclusive sessions which motivate learners. Section 5: Understand the use of different assessment methods and the need for record keeping. Suitable for: Those already teaching/training or those wishing to enter the Lifelong Learning Sector.

Course programme
This is a mandatory introductory course which will give a threshold status to teach. It will be mandatory for any new teacher who teaches publicly funded provision. Those for whom teaching/tutoring/training is their major role, will be required to progress to a further qualification (7304) appropriate to role.
The qualification will equip a wide range of teachers and facilitators with a ‘threshold license to teach’. It is an entry qualification which allows progression to the 7304 Certificate in the Lifelong Learning Sector and the 7305 Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
