What will I learn?
This course is suitable for those who have successfully completed the BTEC Level 1 Introductory Certificate or Diploma or individuals who wish to make a fresh start on a course that offers a different learning and assessment style. The course is ideal for individuals who are returning to education or who have the desire to train or prepare for employment in the uniformed services such as the police, emergency fire services or armed forces. The course includes the following units: the public services, public services skills, public service fitness, crime and its effects, sports and recreation.

What could I do next?
You may be able to progress to BTEC Level 3 Higher National course in Public Services, or find employment in the uniformed services such as the police, emergency fire services or armed forces.

Requirement
You will need to have a strong interest in public services, preferably with the desire to pursue a career in one of the forces (police, army, fire). You will be required to sit an initial assessment. You must be enthusiastic, energetic and show an interest in developing a range of skills and techniques that will help you find a job or move into higher education.
