About this course
A minimum requirement of 34 points, with a C grade in GCSE English and Maths. You should be able to demonstrate an interest in a career in the Uniformed Public Services. This is an academic course that also requires a commitment to personal fitness and outdoor pursuits. You should also be prepared to take advantage of 'Look at Life courses and similar schemes as and when they are available.

What will I study?

Do I need any additional qualifications/ skills?
How will I be assessed?
There are no formal examinations but the course is academic and all work is assessed through regular assignments building up a comprehensive portfolio as appropriate on a Level 3 course.
What can I do afterwards?
The course is equivalent to three A Levels and up to 360 UCAS points can be obtained. Thus, progression to University to a wide range of courses or potentially Officer level entry into any of the Uniformed Public Services, (subject also to each services entrance criteria).
Are there any additional costs involved?
There will be opportunities to participate in events outside the college such as Army or Navy 'Look at Life courses, visits to pertinent establishments such as the Imperial War Museum and the Crown Court and a trip abroad that ties in with various units. Some of these trips will have a charge payable by the students to cover the costs involved.
