Explore the world of amazing and efficient graphs with Matplotlib 2.x to make your data more presentable and informative.Big data analytics are driving innovations in scientific research, digital marketing, policy-making and much more. Matplotlib offers simple but powerful plotting interface, versatile plot types and robust customization.Matplotlib 2.x By Example illustrates the methods and applications of various plot types through real world examples. It begins by giving readers the basic know-how on how to create and customize plots by Matplotlib. It further covers how to plot different types of economic data in the form of 2D and 3D graphs, which give insights from a deluge of data from public repositories, such as Quandl Finance. You will learn to visualize geographical data on maps and implement interactive charts.By the end of this video, you will become well versed with Matplotlib in your day-to-day work to perform advanced data visualization. This video will help you prepare high quality figures for manuscripts and presentations. You will learn to create intuitive info-graphics and reshaping your message crisply understandable.About the Author

There are several ways to do so. Let’s explore these methods. • Learn the names of standard HTML colors • Use specific colors in the color cycle • Walk through the aesthetics and readability considerations Adjusting Text Formats For an informative figure, we typically have a number of text elements, including the title, labels of axes and ticks, legend, and any additional annotations. This video will show you, how you can customize and adjust the text formats for these elements. • Learn about font appearance • Checking available fonts in system • Know the latex support Customizing Lines and Markers Many times, we may want to customize the appearance of Lines and Marker to better distinguish datasets, or for better and more consistent styling. This video demonstrates the same in detail. • Adjust the lines by altering parameters in lines.Line2D • Choose the dash patterns and markers • Adjust marker sizes Customizing Grids and Ticks Lines of grids, ticks, and axes help us to visually locate and measure data values. Their distribution and style determine whether they make good visual aids for the plot or clutter the figure. Let’s demonstrate the basic methods for these, in this video. • Add grids • Customize tick formats, and set label sizes • Rotate tick labels Customizing Axes Now that you know how to customize Grids and Ticks, let’s go ahead to customize axes in our plots logarithmic scale • Change the base of the log scale • Explore about symmetrical logarithmic scale and logit scale Customizing Axes Now that you...
