Sudden cardiac arrest is one of the UK’s biggest killers, and yet statistics show that most of the British public are unaware of the life-saving difference they can make by performing CPR and defibrillation.
The QA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (RQF) qualification has been designed to provide candidates with the skills needed to administer safe, prompt and effective basic life support and use an AED safely in emergency situations.

About this course
The objective of the qualification is to benefit Learners by enabling them to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of first aid situations and safely use an AED.
This qualification is for people who have a specific interest or responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities e.g. a first aider, in being able to provide BLS when dealing with an emergency situation which may involve using an AED
Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of the training.
