About this course
You will develop specialist skills by spending half of your time on clinical placements within hospital cancer centres, providing you with plenty of experience to develop professionally and gain valuable employability skills. The other half of your time will be spent at our £41 million South City Campus, which features a Virtual Environment for Radiotherapy Training (VERT) and advanced treatment planning facilities, to enable you to confidently develop essential skills within a safe educational environment.
You will learn the science behind radiotherapy practice, as well as the human anatomy and physiology, radiation physics and radiobiology. You will also study the social and psychological aspects of cancer care and the needs of patients to ensure that you leave with all the skills needed to be a professional and expert Radiotherapy Radiographer.
OpportUNIty: Student Jobs on Campus ensures that our students are given a first opportunity to fill many part-time temporary positions within the University. This allows you to work while you study with us, fitting the job around your course commitments. By taking part in the scheme, you will gain valuable experiences and employability skills, enhancing your prospects in the job market.
It will also allow you to become more involved in University life by delivering, leading and supporting many aspects of the learning experience, from administration to research and mentoring roles.
