Railway Engineering Safety Management, including the Common Safety Method

In the past, Engineers and Managers needing introduction to managing safety within engineering change projects for railways had access to the UK’s Yellow Book, which provided very useful and authoritative grounding and guidance. The book was supported through provision of Yellow Book courses, provided under the oversight of RSSB. Following the withdrawal of the Yellow Book and also the enactment of Common Safety Method (CSM) regulation that applies across Europe, ERA has developed a new two-day training course that provides an up-to-date and authoritative introduction. This 2-day course is intended for both managers and safety practitioners who require a thorough grounding in the fundamentals of Engineering Safety Management, and advice on the practical application of the new CSM regulation. The material presented aligns with all current guidance published by RSSB and the Office of Rail Regulation and also draws on material available from other sectors where there is insight to be gained from this.
