About this course
You do not need any prior learning knowledge or experience to take this course. This course is openly available to anyone who wishes to take part in a highly rewarding home study course.
You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 6 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor. You will have 70 hours online time available and the average completion time for this course is 40 - 60 hours.

Distance Learning Provider
A Distance Learning Course is the ideal way to gain a qualification without having the worry of trying to fit your studies around your everyday life. You can complete your studies in your own time and we are on hand seven days a week to help you plan your future.
Course programme
The course is divided into the following sections:
1. Online Course (3 Units).
This section will provide you with the theory required to work in the role of Passenger Services for example terminologies, rules and regulations, handling procedures. baggage labels, flight preparation etc.
2. Check–In Lesson (Computerised Check- In)
This section will teach how to check-in a variety of customers for a variety of flights/destinations. Using a simulator you will feel like you are working on a live computerised check-in system.
3. Check-In (Simulator)
This section will allow you check-in passengers in a free format manner.
4. Boarding Lesson (Computerised)
This section will teach you to board passengers that are checked-in.
Using a simulator you will feel like you are working on a live system.
5. Boarding (Simulator)
This section will allow you board passengers in a free format manner.
6. Flight
This section will provide you with a report of the flights you have checked-in and boarded.
You must successfully complete a series of activities and assessments guided by your Tutor. This will be followed by a written examination where you must obtain 80% or above to pass. The Final Examination will be all year round at the IAOT's Head Office in Waterford Airport, Ireland. Alternatively you can take your exam at a reputable college. The college must meet with the IAOT's approval and must follow the guidelines set down by the IAOT to facilitate the exam. In the event that the college charge a fee to facilitate the exam, the student must meet the cost associated with it.
The Final Examination will be held under supervision and is NOT an open book examination.
