2. Course description This is a course designed for parents, carers and grandparents and their children (over the age of 7) to work together on a 1 to 1 basis, to prepare and cook a variety of fun dishes. Please note that at the beginning of the course learners will take part in an induction to the College and the course. They will be asked to complete an Individual Learning Journey (ILJ) which will help learners to reflect and monitor their progress. The tutor will use this information to check learning and plan their lessons.

Equipment required 1.Apron. 2.Dishcloth. 3.2 tea-towels. 4.Plastic container with a lid. 5.Wear suitable footwear, flat closed shoes to comply with the college health and safety policy. All materials will be provided (other than those listed above, in section 8). 5. Assessment method This is a highly interactive course that involves demonstrations, following instructions, preparation of dishes and discussions.
