SYNOPSIS
Participants on this course will explore the role and purpose of, and the skills involved in, writing effective records and reports. The course will aim to build on the skills of the participants and enhance their confidence in structuring, writing and evaluating these forms of communication so others can understand them.
AIM
The aim of the course is to explore the skills involved in effective recording and report writing and relate these to the participants' own working environments.
OBJECTIVES
At the end of the day participants will be able to:
1. Demonstrate an understanding of the role and purpose of basic recording and report writing as a means of communication.
2. Demonstrate an understanding of how to record information in these formats in a way that is manageable and makes sense to others.
3. Assess the elements involved in structuring, writing and evaluating records and reports.
4. Write records and short reports.
5. Demonstrate writing skills building on their own styles and methods of expression
