This is a practical workshop on how to access communications data under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA). It is essential that those who are seeking to use these powers, as well as those who are authorising their use (Designated Persons), have a good understanding of the law and practice in this area.

OUR SPEAKER
Ibrahim Hasan is a solicitor specialising in surveillance law and RIPA. He previously worked as a Principal Solicitor in local government. Ibrahim is a popular trainer who has successfully trained over one hundred and fifty SPoCs. He recently appeared on Radio 4 and Radio 5 Live to talk about public sector surveillance.
