Road or Passenger Transport CPC

Van Hee currently provides training and examination facilities to fulfil the current legislative requirements that all companies wishing to operate goods and passenger vehicles for hire and reward within Europe and the UK must hold an Operators Licence.

A prerequisite of holding an Operators Licence is that the company must employ a person holding a Certificate of Professional Competence in Road or Passenger Transport. It should also be noted that for International transport the employee should also hold an International CPC.

This is achieved by giving the trainee the best environments of both home study and intensive classroom based tuition. Course notes are issued to trainees in advance of the course in order that they can prepare themselves by reading and familiarising themselves with the notes and attempt example examinations.

The classroom based section of the training is aimed at guiding the trainee through the course notes and allowing for discussion of any areas of confusion and concentrating on areas which have been established as problem subjects for most trainees.

• Technical Standards and Aspects of Operations
• Road Safety

Examinations
Examinations take place on set days and times laid down by the awarding body.

• MODULE 1 (Core) 30 minutes multiple choice.
• MODULE 2 (National Goods) 60 minutes multiple choice.
• MODULE 3 (National Passenger) 60 minutes multiple choice.
• MODULE 4 (National Goods) 120 minutes case study.
• MODULE 5 (National Passenger) 120 minutes case study.
• MODULE 6 (International Goods) 60 minutes case study/
multiple choice.
• MODULE 7 (International Passenger) 60 minutes case study/
multiple choice.

For national operations, candidates must pass modules 1,2 4 for goods or 1,3,4 for passenger.

For international operations, candidates must pass modules 1,2,4 and 6 for goods or 1,3,4 and 7 for passenger.
