Overview
Autonomous and robotic systems are ever growing in the world around us; from heavy duty industrial robotic arms in production chains, to robot vacuum cleaners or lawn mowers, self-driving cars and drones to space robotics, or any other Mechatronic or autonomous system. There is a strong strategic direction for global industry in Robotics and Automated Systems (RAS) as evidenced by a host of national and international strategy documents and networks.
The aim of this new degree course is to provide a solid foundation in Robotics, Mechatronics and Control disciplines with a primary focus on Electronic and Electrical Engineering. The course will enable you to understand the fundamental processes and techniques in autonomous systems. The course will link high quality in-class teaching with advanced hands-on activities, group work and individual projects to provide a complete learning environment.
