Course programme
We will discuss how the Mirabal sisters’ – Patria, Minerva, Maria Teresa y Dede- actions helped to remove from power one of the cruellest dictators in Latin American recent history, Rafael Trujillo –nicknamed “El Jefe” in Dominican Republic, from 1930 to 1961.
The class will be conducted in English with some Spanish.
Teacher explanation; group discussion.
All materials provided by the tutor, but do bring a pen and paper to take additional notes.
