To provide delegates with a thorough understanding of the need for safety, the legislation and dangers associated with working at heights. To enable delegates to be competent when working on roofs and to safely and correctly use harnesses, ladders and steps. Suitable for: This programme is designed for Managers, Supervisors and Operatives, who may need to work at heights, use ladders to do so, and/or require fall arrest protection.

About this course
Delegates should provide a passport photograph on the day of training for production of ID Cards. For courses held at our centre in Wellingborough we can provide this service on your behalf using our on-site digital camera.
Delegates attending this course should be physically and mentally fit to withstand the rigours of training.

- Summarise the work at height regulations and associated legislation and be fully aware of their legal responsibilities
- Select the correct work equipment and restraint systems to help prevent falls from height thus reducing risk to themselves and others
- Carry out inspections of equipment to ensure they are safe and fit for purpose
- Confidently select and don a harness correctly
- Safely select, position and secure ladders as access points or to use for work
Training Methods
A high proportion of discussion and group participation, supplemented with video and classroom based tutorials as well as practical exercises. Additional Information Delegates should provide a passport photograph on the day of training for production of ID Cards. For courses held at our centre in Wellingborough we can provide this service on your behalf using our on-site digital camera. Delegates attending this course should be physically and mentally fit to withstand the rigours of training. The content of this course includes awareness of periodic examinations of equipment. The course does not provide full training in maintenance of equipment. Additional training relating to this subject may be of benefit to delegates (further information available upon request).
