A good Honours degree, normally in History or a Modern Language or Political Science, or its equivalent.

MA in Russian History
Mode: part-time
It is composed of a taught part worth 120 credit points and a dissertation worth 60 credit points. No knowledge of Russian is required.
The programme is constructed around units on aspects of Russian history in the Department of Historical Studies and the Department of Russian Studies, in which there is a broad range of expertise.
Programme Structure
You will take two compulsory training units in Historical Studies, plus at least two units on Russian History and two further optional units of your choice. These can be on international history, British history, Russian culture or Russian language. Russian language units are offered at beginners or advanced level. Optional non-credit bearing Faculty training units for postgraduates are also offered.
