RYA Diesel Engine Course

This is a beginner's course, which assumes no prior experience and is intended to be both enjoyable and informative. It introduces basic diesel engine operation and care, including the fuel, cooling and lubrication systems as well as the essential subjects of maintenance, fault recognition and "get you home" techniques. The course is equally suited to both sail and powerboat users. This course is essential for all of today's boat users.

The student is assessed by brief exercises during the course and "hands on practice" on a small demonstration engine. A course completion certificate is issued to students who successfully complete the course.
