Course programme
This one day sea survival course prepares you to stay alive in an emergency. It will show you how to make the best use of a life raft and you will learn some basic sea survival techniques.
Course Type:
Theory, adult course.
This one day sea survival course is designed for leisure and charter boat users. This course is MCA approved and satisfies the requirements for Coastal Skipper, Yachtmaster and Advanced Powerboat certificates of competence. To commercially endorse these certificates you will also need to attend a VHF Radio Course and a RYA First Aid course and obtain a signed ML5 Medical form.
Course Content:
Preparation for sea survival, lifejackets, search and rescue, and includes a two-hour session in a swimming pool with a life raft.

You will have a good knowledge of sea survival techniques, the safety equipment carried on small boats and will have spent valuable time doing practical drills in a life raft.
Scheduled courses are held at Southampton, Hampshire UK and in the Solent area.
RYA Sea Survival
