Safeguarding of Children for Managers / Advanced

This course aims to provide delegates with a detailed understanding of child protection, particularly in relation to the systems that exist to safeguard children and their role within these systems.

Training at Level 2/3 is targeted at staff with specific responsibility for safeguarding children. This will include managers, senior staff, designated teachers, social workers, health visitors etc. All staff undertaking training at level 2 or 3 should be able to demonstrate the knowledge acquired at level 1.

At Level 2/3, the chief learning outcome is that delegates will gain a clear and detailed understanding of the systems that exist to safeguard children and their role within these systems. In addition, training at this level will also equip delegates with an understanding of legislation and guidance, as well as local procedures.
