The sales cycle is an everyday way of life and those in the industry will appreciate that anyone in the business of selling a product or service can recognise that the market place has not only become more competitive, but customers are a lot more astute in agreeing to the purchase of a product or service and require additional information such as what the product or service can specifically offer them to benefit and/or improve their current situation.

It is imperative that an effective sales approach is delivered every time to enable the business to maintain their current customer base and attract new business to provide continued growth. This in turn provides the business with a loyal customer following and could provide an increase in profitability.

Sales is definitely not an easy job, it´s a daily challenge and the environment in which any sales person operates is not for the faint hearted. It takes a certain type of individual to be able to boost self confidence when the going gets tough and not to get complacent when the going is good. The apprenticeship scheme will identify the ideal candidate for a sales role and assist them in gaining the necessary knowledge to excel in such a role.

The sales qualification can be sought in a number of industries sectors from outbound call centres to motor traders, in-fact any industry that currently sells a product or a service.

The Sales Apprenticeship can encompass all sector areas and the qualification can provide the necessary skills and experience to not only benefit the company involved, but grow the individual to a standard to enable them to deliver a multitude of skills proven to escalate the selling experience.

The apprentice´s role will be in a sales environment, either face to face or via the telephone from junior level to current sales executives, whether it be working as an individual or as part of a larger team.

Candidates need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the environment in which they work, including product knowledge and be aware of current employer policies and procedures.

Employers need to be able to recognise the benefits of each element of the sale process from establishing the need to handling customer objections and confirming the sale to provide additional support during the apprenticeship programme.
