Salon System Beginner Nail Extensions (Day 1 of 2)

What will the course cover?

• Choice of gel or acrylic system
• Anatomy, nail disorders & diseases, health & hygiene
• Workstation set-up, product knowledge, nail varnishing & varnish removal
• Hands on application of chosen system i.e. application of tips, blending, overlay, filing, re-shaping & finishing application.
• Removal of nails
• Maintenance/Rebalancing of chosen system
• Client care & consultation, home care, retailing & general business advice

What do I need to know before I start the course?

Beginners must attend both days.
Existing nail technicians wishing to learn a new system need to only attend Day 2. You'll be working in pairs during your training and all nail extensions should be removed. Students must be 18+. We recommend you bring your own lunch.

How will the course be taught?

Day 1 - Understanding theory and a practical demonstration followed by students working on each other to practice techniques.
Day 2 - Viewing existing application and reviewing as necessary. Practical demonstration followed by students working on each other to practice techniques.

What do I need to know before I start the course?

All nail extensions, polish & gel polish must be removed prior to the course. Please see course sheet for details of the kits required to be purchased.
